e2v announces appointment of Chief Executive

 e2v is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Blair as Chief Executive of e2v. He will join e2v during the first quarter of the next calendar year, 2014, with the precise date to be finalised.

Steve brings a wealth of international experience across both established and high growth emerging markets, in strategic planning and portfolio development, and has a proven track record in driving growth. Steve is currently Business Group Director for Spectris plc (from May 2011) and from January 2013 has been the Executive Board member responsible for the In-Line Instrumentation and Industrial Controls segments.  Prior to joining Spectris, Steve was at Invensys plc, where his last position was President, Invensys Operations Management for North America based in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining Invensys, Steve held various management positions at Silvertech Ltd. and Computing Devices Co. Ltd. Steve holds a BEng (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Sheffield in the UK.
